The plan to run this space is based on a collective/membership based community model.

The intention of the Artist Collective Membership is to connect & facilitate artists and teachers to have a maintained and safe space in South Anchorage to create & teach using their unique expertises, while building their own businesses and client base in a space more than suitable for all their needs. We hope to offset the costs of the space (rent/building fees, amenities, cleaning, check in/out, etc.) with the collective’s membership contributions.
When you join the collective, you are on a month-to-month or annual agreement with The Workshop as well as other artists within the collective. This is meant to be a collaborative space.

To become a collective member, simply choose your level of support:

(this is an investor's membership, paid before The Workshop’s opening, limited availability)
$500 First Year Investment

• 6 hours of Studio, Study, or Mixer room rental time ($105 value)

• One Year Artist Collective Membership ($660 value)

• Display plaque in the “Founding Member” section of The Workshop and on the website.

• You will be able to renew your Artist Collective Membership after the initial year for the SAME PRICE (annual savings of $105.)

Artist Collective Membership
$55/month

• 2 Free hours of Studio, Study, or Mixer room rental space per month (by reservation only).

• 30% off Studio, Study, & Mixer room rentals.

• Free access to The Lounge during open day hours.

• Ability to reserve Lounge for private art/education related events at just $10/hour during evening hours (5pm-8pm). This space is ideal for recitals, art shows, etc.

• Free advertisement of classes/services on The Workshop’s social media, website, & on location.

• 15% off all classes in space by other collective membership artists.

• 30% off family membership for the artist's family.

• Customers/clients from The Workshop funneled to your classes/events.

• Optional Locked Storage for equipment, books, or supplies at just $7/month.

What we need from you:

• $55/month on a month-to-month contract basis. 

• OR $605/year one time payment on a one year contract.

(Valued $660, annual memberships receive a free month of membership.)

• A dedication agreement to give 15% off your services to other artists within the collective and 

10% off your services to regular members of The Workshop* (these are the funneled clients/customers).

*You may always offer or refuse service to anyone you choose, but we ask that you abide by these discounts within reason as a default, 

not excluding people from your services solely based on membership status. 

• Optional permission for The Workshop to share, advertise, and promote you and your services with individual non-artist members of The Workshop. Your success is the success of the Artist Collective, and thus the success of The Workshop.
